ETERNAL RECURRENCE

Excerpt: TV Series «True Detective», season 1, episode 5

A part of my current worldviews has been shaped largely by the idea that everything is destined to repeat (return). Atoms became human, and humans became atoms. The cycle of the cold cosmos, following the laws of physics, but not to the extent where everything can be known.

But I am convinced that there is nothing more plausible and genuinely existing than our feelings. Emotions that we convey to another person, emotions that cannot be counterfeited at this point. You cannot relive love, hate, happiness, or boredom.

To sum it up, I'd like to quote a passage from an essay, «In Praise of Boredom», by my undeniable favorite in the world of poetry and prose, J. Brodsky:
«Remember me,
whispers the dust».
